Wow, my 7th semester at the InternationalMinisterial Institute is already finished and now, Lord willing, only one more
semester to go before completion!
This semester has been the most difficult out of all the
semesters, but at the same time the Lord has taken me to depths I have never
know in my relationship with Him. I think the most important thing that Father
has been teaching me is: ABIDING IN HIS
PRESENCE. At the core of my being I long to always be in the presence of
someone. Over the years, I have filled this longing with many different things
but have never found fulfillment in them.
The Lord has shown me that the purpose of a relationship
with God is to be in His presence. It is ONLY in the presence of Father that I
have truly known peace, freedom and joy which surpasses human comprehension.
The “presence” does not necessarily mean a place or position, but much more
significantly a Person! The word “presence” should not be spelled
‘presence’, but rather ‘Presence’!
My hope, my joy and my crown is ABIDING in the Presence of
Father all the day long. This was Jesus’ passion, longing and desire as we see
Him continually seeking the intimate Presence of His Father. I have sought the
presence of many things only to find their presence non-eternal and therefore
very void and shallow. This is my hope and courage through the day: the
continual longing for MORE of the Presence of Father.
So in short, I have found a joy that no man can ever take
from me, a calling and ministry that is eternal and a hope that will never fade
away. I have no clue what this off semester holds, but I cling to One purpose
and One joy; abiding in the Presence. This is my only hope to be conformed to
the image of Jesus Christ, for there is no other way! So I am not afraid of
what the future holds, for being in the Presence is abiding in the Future. I am
trusting my Father and therefore willingly laying my spirit, soul and body before
Him bear and open, that He may wholly fill it with His Presence!
“Thou
wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
~ Psalm 16:11 ~
