Following In His Footsteps...

Well... surprise!!! ;) I am back in Florida! (Someone might think I was just a regular vacationer!LOL!) No, not this time...

Lord has AGAIN given me the opportunity to be able to continue in the intense battle for the souls of men! Satan, his principalities and powers are very desperate; they are loosing time fast on the earthly clock and I am in a race against their earthly, corruptible and deceptive kingship as a Soldier of Jesus Christ! I am victorious, because Christ has conquered ALL their power and they lay defeated under the foot of the Lamb and before all those who walk in His blood!

This week, I have been given the privilege to present the Anger Resolution Seminar by Dr. Bill Gothard through the IBLP prison ministry at the Wakulla CI, both in the Main Unit and Annex. Already since I have been here God has worked mightily! Inmates are getting the foundation, the Cornerstone being Jesus Christ, upon which they can go and conquer the strongholds that Satan has had for years in many of their lives! Since Monday, I have been presenting the Anger Seminar to two groups of inmates; the first group being around 80 inmates and the second being around 80 as well!

I LOVE IT!!! It is what God has called me to and by His grace and that alone I am NOT turning back! Since this week, I have already begun to see the fruit of God's principles being worked into the softened soil of the soul's of an enormous field of hearts and lives. Please continue to pray for the inmates who have heard the truth and as I will be will be flying back to continue my semester at IMI this Saturday. God has been doing a mighty work at the school and I trust that He WILL continue to perfect that which He has begun!

Blessings to All and THANK YOU for praying...Please continue to!

Here are some pictures of an outing we were able to take while I was here in Florida...it was BEAUTIFUL!

Here are some pictures of the ministry at which I have been staying this week...it has been a huge blessing to enjoy God A.W.S.O.M.E. creation!!! :D

"According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.  12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.  14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."                     1 Corinthians 3:10-15

Destiny and A Sure Foundation!

During this last month, the Lord has opened doors for me that I in no way could have opened…God likes to do that. J He has touched hearts and reached people in ways that I could have never been able to in my own strength. The Lord HAS, IS and WILL continue to break the chains that bind many hearts spiritually and that hold back many from the truth…the Lord does this through LABORERS!
Matthew 9:35-38 says,

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.  36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.  37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;  38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

I want you all to know, the harvest is ripe, it is ready and waiting to be harvested… will you go? David Livingston said,

“Lord, send me anywhere, only go with me. Lay any burden on me, only sustain me. Sever any ties but the tie that binds me to Thy service and to Thy heart.”

Will you go? Do you love your life more than you love the Father? Will you give up anything or anyone to answer His bidding?

During the two weeks that I was in Florida, GOD WORKED! Not only in the lives of others, in the lives of inmates or juvenile delinquents, but also in my heart. God showed me His power, His love and His unfailing mercy that surrounds me moment by moment. I guess you won’t ever know what I am talking about until you yourself follow God’s calling for YOUR life!
My friend, Christianity is not a bed of roses... it is SO much more! Christianity is a living walk with the Creator that brings fruit and satisfaction to every true need a soul could ever have! God has truly been taking me through His refining fire this past month, but only to bear eternal lasting fruit.
If you had been praying for me during the two weeks that I was in Florida, know for a surety that God heard your prayers and answered them! I saw supernatural protection, spiritual healing and provision through this time in Florida and I know it wasn’t an accident…it was GOD moving on behalf of prayer! God allowed me to be in 3 different correctional facilities, two juvenile and one women’s prison. Each opportunity held a different need that God was able to fulfill in the hearts and lives of the hurting, the broken and the lost!

Here is a quick overview of the two weeks in Florida:

Week 1:
-               The first week consisted of much training in the area of being a missionary chaplain. Chaplain Keller spent hours of his time sharing with me vital principles on how to effectively minister and serve as a missionary chaplain by using his own personal life experience and many other excellent resources! Much of my training was based out of the book that he wrote called “Breaking the Bondage of Addictions”. This is a valuable seven step program that enables ANYONE who is willing to receive complete spiritual freedom from any addiction or stronghold in their life!

Week 2:
-          Monday:
o   We ministered at a women’s prison with around 67 women attending our meeting. It was really neat to see God work in the lives of these women who have VERY deep hurts and strong areas of bondage in their lives!
-          Wednesday:
o   We went to a juvenile facility and we were able to clearly present the gospel to around 9 young men. God moved in a mighty way and around 8 gave their lives over to the Lord and about 5 of them did so for the very first time!!!
-          Friday:
o   We were able to go to another juvenile facility and spend some time sharing the gospel with a young male juvenile who was 16 years of age. This young man was not willing to receive the truth because he was not ready to let go of his bondage to drinking. If you think of him, please pray that God would soften his heart and that the seeds of truth that were sown would grow and spring up into everlasting life!

This is a quick and simple outline of my time in Florida. God truly did a work not only in my heart but in the lives of many others because of your faithful prayers! I am reminded of James 5:16 which says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”  Thank you ALL so much for praying!       May the Lord return it upon your 100 fold for His glory!
I am now back in Texas preparing to start my 3rd semester at IMI this Saturday. If you think of it, please pray that God would use this time in my life to continue to draw me closer to Him and that He would be lifted up during this time! May the Lord richly bless you all and you continue to seek His face and that ALONE!

God's Continued BLESSING!!!

Wow...I H.A.V.E. been blessed!!!!

During this week I have already seen God's sovereign hand at work! For me, this is more of a study and preparation week than anything else. Chaplain Keller has been spending hours filling me in on important topics of prison ministry as a Missionary Chaplain. I know without a shadow of a doubt God has me here to learn these very important lessons from a godly man! Mr. Keller has patiently been explaining the details of prison ministry work as a missionary; all the way from meeting and understanding the deepest needs of inmates and juveniles to finding the right avenues of support that would help press me forward to the mark that God has laid before me!

Bitterness, addictions, DEEP hurts and pain are all closely related to many inmates heart's and the question is, what is the answer for ALL this!? This week I have had to lay the heavy burden of helping inmates find freedom at Jesus' feet, because I know in no way I can fulfill this in my understanding or strength. I am SO glad that God is in control and that all He wants me to do is seek first His Kingship in my life and all the rest will be accomplished. Please continue to pray as next week Lord willing, I will be in two juvenile facilities and one womens prison. Next week Friday, Lord willing I will be personally speaking to a group of juveniles and presenting the gospel as part of my training...please pray!

God I know has me here and there has been a lot of spiritual warfare up to this point, but by God's grace I am trusting in Him as the scripture clearly states in 1 John 4:4, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." I by God's grace choose to put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, because HE alone is my Pilot in everything!

Along with studying, I have had the great opportunity of enjoying fellowship with Nathan and David Keller. Here are some fun shots that we were able to take over the last couple days...

Enjoying Him...

The Lord continues to do a LOT of awesome things in my life...but by awesome I don’t necessarily mean fun, having a good-old-time with friends and hobby’s or being satisfied with all the things the world has to offer. No, I mean AWESOME…God inspiring moments, moments of pain that bring a deeper and more intimate walk with the Lord, times of purging and times of delighting in God’s presence! Awesome moments are when you find yourself in God’s presence…that’s’ it! Unfortunately, the world have used this word in the most degrading, perverted and on the most self-seeking terms, not taking the simple effort to think of what they are really saying.

Awe in the Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary means:
AWE, n. aw. [Dan. aye, fear, awe, chastisement, discipline ; aver, to chastise or correct; Gr. wyac~,to be astonished. Qu. Ir. ag/i; Sax. ege, or oga, fear; Goth. agjan, or ogan, to dread. It would appear that the primary sense of the Dan. is to strike, or check.] 1. Fear mingled with admiration or reverence; reverential fear. Stand in awe and sin not. Ps. iv. 2. Fear; dread inspired by something great, or terrific. AWE, a. t. To strike with fear andreverence ; to influence by fear, terror or respect ; as, his majesty awed them into silence.

I had the privilege and opportunity to spend last Friday at a State Park here in TX called Enchanted Rock. I and the three other guys that I have had the privilege of working with here at IMI, had a wonderful time of enjoying God’s BEAUTFUL nature and serene! This park gets its name from a H.U.G.E. hill of granite rock that was formed like a dome. In the park you can hike, climb, camp and enjoy the small streams and big boulders that just seem to be tottering on the steep incline of the main rock.

I thank the Lord for the opportunity we were given just to enjoy His AWESOME nature that simply magnifies His Holy NAME! Here are some pictures that I was able to get of the landscape…and yes, it IS awesome because our Creator made it that way!

“And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;  38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.  39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.  40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”
