Continued Grace...

Well, since I haven't posted anything for awhile I thought I would put one up really quick. The Lord continues to use the opportunities He brings me into to mold and make me. I have continued with landscaping here in the community and am learning more and more as I go on. But I just wanted to say that it definitely is not always easy to do this job, but I know it is the perfect will of God for me right now and that truly His grace is sufficient for me! I am learning to lean more and more on His arms and as I go to continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Here are some pictures of a job that we did putting in sod...this was actually fun and I really enjoy laying it because it is just like a puzzle and you can see progress fast! :) Ps. God bless you all and remember to walk by faith and not by sight...even though that can be one of the most hardest and difficult things to do!

An Exciting Day... In MY Home State!!!!!!!!!!

Today Tabitha, Hannah and I headed down to Indianapolis Indiana for Hannah's harp lessons. We started out at 6:30 this morning...and made our trip in about 3 hours to Indy. While we were there we did some shopping to accommodate for the super expensive prices in Chicago! :) (It's a good way to do it ...lol) I always love returning to Indiana and especially around the country places that I call home. On our way back, we stopped at a dairy place called Fair Oaks Dairy Adventure; it was a awesome place! Here they show how the dairy process works; like cheese making and things like that! We picked up freshly made ice cream on our way out...good stuff in having fun and making memories! ;)

A Crazy Week!

WOW!!! What a full, crazy, exciting, tiering and everything else week! lol! Pretty much just the normal landscaping projects was the activity of the week...and boy did we ever put in the hours! I enjoyed today ( especially since it is a Friday) taking some shots as I did landscaping on one of our costumers property... it was fun and the whole day was full of enjoyable hard work! Everyone... have an AWESOME weekend enjoying God's creation!

"O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.  O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!" Psalm 8

A Guys Weekend!

Dad, Joey, Danny, John Michael and I had the opportunity to spend sometime together over the weekend while Mom and the three girls went to Louisville Kentucky for Hannah’s harp testing. During our time Danny, Johnny and I enjoyed taking a bike ride down to Graw Mill that is only a couple minutes away and we had a good time! It was a warm day so we did a little bit of wading in the river right beside the falls. We also stopped to get a little something to enjoy on our journey... including "closer"  ;) All in all we had fun and we enjoyed getting sun and the opportunity to be outdoors.

Landscaping Pictures

This day was very busy and long, but never the less work got accomplished!!! We planted over 200 individual flowers, mowed a lawn of about 3 acres, weeded, pruned and more! Here are some landscaping pictures I took today to kinda of give you an idea of what I do. :) The equipment you see in these pictures we were allowed to use on the premises of the property of which we were working.

Full Days...

Well, it has been a little while since I last posted anything but my header says it all...lol! God has blessed me with an awesome opportunity to work with a young man here at HQ doing landscaping around the community! We usually start at about 8 or so in the morning and continue work until about 5 in the evening. We just about do everything; all the way from simply mowing a lawn and making it look nice to retrieving carp out of a flooded field! Prior to this opportunity, I had been praying and seeking the Lord over what direction He wanted me to take to begin preparing for the future with my finances. The Lord challenged me to wait and trust in Him and now after waiting for several months He has provided this job for the present time! I do enjoy working outside and just allowing myself to be engulfed with the beauty of God's wonderful creation!!! I do not have pictures to post of it yet, but Lord willing they should be coming soon! :) May God bless you all as you wait on Him to provide for you and take care of your needs, because He promises to if we are faithful to Him!

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. " Proverbs 3:5-6

What Is So Important About Small Things?

I don't think I fully understand the great IMPORTANCE of small things. Even as I start thinking about God's Word and what the Lord has said about this, I am completely blown out of the water! One thing that stands out to me about small things is humility. You have to stoop to see them, you must stop and take the time to notice it and they are always there but you must search for them. There are several verses in scripture where God seems to delight in small things:

"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;" Corinthians 1:27
"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered." Mat 10:29-30
"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? " Matthew 6:28-30
"And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?" 1 Samuel 15:17
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Mat 19:14

These are just a few passages, but God continues to show me that small things DO and WILL count for eternity! I think one of the reasons why God delights in small things is that they are one the keys to greatness. Jesus demonstrated this AMAZINGLY when He washed His disciples feet. After humbling Himself, stooping down and caring for the "small things" He said this "Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them."John 13:13
Wow, that is awesome! I am so thankful that I have the privilege to follow Christ's example every day, but many times it's the small things that accomplish this task! So in short don't pass these small things up because if you do, you might be missing out on an incredible opportunity to recognize who God is!!!
